Welcome to The Beauty Nurse! My name is Lydia Cox. I have been a licensed Esthetician for 15 years, an RN for 30 years, and a permanent cosmetics professional for 10 years. I love what I do for a living and I love making my clients comfortable and happy. Having my own studio for the past 8 years has afforded me the opportunity to give my clients as much time and care as I like without the restraints of a “clinical” hour or the pressure to sell product. Although I do carry a few products from some of the companies whose products I have come to love, I am aware that most of you out there have many of your own favorites and I learn a lot from my clients.
All treatments are customized to the needs and comfort levels of each client. Depending on your concerns, I will do anything from a relaxing aromatherapy facial with the beautiful Paul Scerri masques and fluid essences to a microdermabrasion treatment combined with a PCA peel. Every one of you is different, as is every facial I give. The studio is serene and the music is chosen to be calming and relaxing.
Permanent makeup is one of my favorite creative outlets. Many moons ago I went to college to become an art teacher, so I think of this as my artistic outlet. As Bill Clinton’s mom said, “Who knows what I could have done in life if I only had eyebrows.” Brows are my special love. If the eyes are the window to the soul, then the brows are the window frame. I also do eyeliner and lips. Come in for a consultation, see my photos and discuss your concerns. Consultations are free of charge and last about a half an hour. It’s a way for us to get to know each other, test for possible product sensitivities, and just see if this is the right choice for you.
